Pianist and bandleader Alfa Mist has announced a new EP, Two For Mistake, following his seamless recent album Bring Backs. The first track from the new EP to land is 'Bumper Cars', an extended live version of the Bring Backs album track 'Last Card' taken from Alfa’s studio session recorded live in London’s renowned Metropolis Studios earlier in 2021.'Bumper Cars' begins with a regal mood, largely owed to the climbing melody of the trumpet, as well as the assured bass hits. Quickly altering the mood, a quartet comprised of violin, viola and cello becomes the focus of the track, creating a grand release whereby the violin's bow feels as if it's crafted from your own heart strings; the track continues to change and morph in this unpredictable way throughout. Alfa Mist's expression on the keys is free and playful, inviting a distorted solo on the electric guitar. 'Bumper Cars' is an exciting invitation to the Alfa Mist's new record.
